Dylan Cease was impressive for six innings before San Diego’s All-Star-laden bullpen got into and out of trouble in the seventh and the Padres beat the Boston Red Sox 6-2 to take two of three.

Wilyer Abreu had a two-run home run in a four-run fourth inning to help the Boston Red Sox beat the San Diego Padres 10-2.

Finally, the Padres’ bulked-up bullpen outlasted the Red Sox bullpen, and the Padres won 5-4 on Ramón Laureano’s walk-off single in the 10th inning. In that final inning, it was Jason Adam doing what Robert Suarez could not an inning earlier, keeping the Red Sox from scoring.
