To ignore all numbers stored as text, you need to open the Data tab and select the Text to Columns option. Then, select the Delimited option from the Convert Text to Columns wizard.

Using the Excel Text to Column feature, you can choose how to split the column up, fix the width, or split at each comma, period, or other characters.

Select "Run" on the VBA menu, select "Run Sub/user Form" or press "F5" on your keyboard and go to the Excel program. Copy the data that appears in column "A1" and open your Word program.

Converting empty cells means that they will be formatted as text if you enter data into them in the future. Navigate to the "Number" group within the "Home" tab in Excel.
