And at age 30, the versatile outfielder will likely opt out and test the market this offseason for a long-term deal. According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, the Mets are said to “like” the outfielder. Bellinger is hitting .270 with a .816 OPS, 22 home runs and 69 RBI.

Going into Thursday, the Mets had seen a whopping 33.1% increase in attendance from 2024, when they drew an average of 29,484, which was 17th in MLB. Mets owner Steve Cohen said in spring training that last season’s attendance numbers “bothered” him.
